It’s been a busy start to 2025 in clinic and I wanted to showcase this lovely client’s story because her journey encapsulates my ethos at Eat Better|Feel Better.
H came to see me because she has been struggling to lose weight for years, finally resorting to Orlistat which she has taken for a year. She did lose a little weight but not as much as she wanted and she also was having to manage the side effects of the medication which could be quite impactful when they flared up.
We worked together for 10 weeks, recreating a healthy framework for how to eat and what to eat, focussing on whole foods. Her diet hadn’t been too bad when we started but we reintroduced moderate amounts of healthy fats (which she had avoided due to the Orlistat) and increased her lean protein intake to ensure a healthier body composition.
During our sessions we worked on her emotional relationship with food and her body image. We also placed an emphasis on movement, sleep and self care,
As part of her journey, we carried out a full functional blood test and reviewed her plan with these results in mind.
10 weeks on, she has lost weight and is well on her way to feeling better.
